Starting Over and Over Again
For many years, I have been interviewing gardeners about WHY they make gardens over and over again. This is a question for those of us who have through various circumstances had to leave gardens they have designed, nurtured and maintained.
Most of us confess to a tremendous sense of loss. Some have grieved for gardens gone, and some are giddy at the prospect of the garden evolving into something new by someone new.
A friend wrote the following "What has been constant is that in a garden I feel more at home than inside a house and that gardening has always been a meditational experience for me."
I would be interested in anyone who cares to share their feelings about leaving a garden(s).
